SetUp MX records

MX records are used to verify your domain (if not already verified) and to configure Mail4qa as your disposable email solution. Once you've switched to Mail4qa's MX records, you can start receiving disposable emails in your Mail4qa private inbox or use them through Mail4qa APIs.

SetUp MX Records

If you're unable to find specific instructions for your domain host, you can follow these general steps.

  1. Log in to your domain account on your domain provider's platform. If you need assistance, feel free to reach out to your domain host's Support team. Domain hosts are well-versed in handling MX records, and setting them up is a common task.

  2. Locate the section where you can update your domain's MX records. This section might be named DNS Management, Mail Settings or Advanced Settings.

  3. Remove any existing MX records that might be present.

  4. Add the new MX records for the mail4qa.com servers.

    Name/Host/AliasTime to Live (TTL*)Record TypePriorityValue/Answer/Destination
    @ or leave blank3600MX5mx1.mail4qa.com
    @ or leave blank3600MX10mx2.mail4qa.com

Note: Some domain hosts might label the fields differently, and certain hosts could require a trailing period at the end of the server name.

  5. Save the changes you've made to your MX records.

By following these steps, you'll successfully set up Mail4qa as your disposable email solution using the appropriate MX records.
